This ballet follows the life of a planetary body as it sails its path across the universe. Its fate dictated by the invisible forces that govern all matter, it journeys through varying environments: empty, chaotic,

and serene.

The challenge for this piece was to create a vast space of seemingly alien origin. The material employed was a black mesh screen that was crumpled and crushed to evoke a gaseous star field or cold, rocky cliff face, depending on the application of light. In the back of the stage, our operatic Diva sings, adorned in a 12' tall dress made of similar materials.
